Behind the Scenes: Our Fall Photoshoot

The start of every new collection is thrilling itself, but when the day of the photoshoot finally arrives, you can feel the excitement! Being my very first photoshoot as Joya’s first intern, I got to see firsthand how the collection was coming to life, and it sparked a whole new excitement in me! From seeing hair and makeup being done in the room next to me, to helping put together all of the looks with Joya jewelry and clothes from a local gem, Paisley Boutique. This fall we are excited to welcome you with fringes of marigold and magenta. Hammered gold and light geometric styles help bring a new look to wear at the garden house. Gold metals, hues of sea blues and browns, and layering (of course) is a staple of our Fall Collection.

A little about our location:
Our photoshoot was shot at Bowood Farms in the Central West End in St. Louis. The spot could not have been more perfect! And thanks to our amazing photographer, Joan Fisher, the whole vision was achieved through and through, shot after shot. Every turn you would take at the garden house presented a new charming scene, featuring many different flowers, rustic ladders, characteristic pots, and little stone waterfalls. I, myself, got lost in the beauty of Bowood for quite some time. The day of the photoshoot just so happened to be the hottest day of the year so far in Missouri, but that didn’t crush anyone’s spirits. Our models were all so amazing and everyone was doing their part to make sure this photoshoot ended in success! Below are some photos I took on our adventure and a few of my favorites from Joan! Enjoy!
