Trend Report: Indian Summer

The best part of the end of summer is that your favorite jean shorts are now perfectly worn in and your canvas loafers have just the right scuff.  For end of Summer, it's all about building casual layers: breezy crepe white blouses, lightweight melange jersey cardi's, and best of all pulling back out your broken-in light wash denims.  Keep the fabrics light, casual, and with a broken in feeling.  Finish the look with and layers of necklaces with different textures and finishes.

When looking for color, take a que from the palette of beautiful desert muted hues.  Trade in your citron greens from spring, for subtle jadestone hues.  Pinks are now muted soft corals and yellows are a soft maize color.
These desert hues look great layered in beads and bangles or as a simple druzy from an earring.  Gold is also perfect for this season and can carry you through from end of summer through fall.

While bohemian is still very much trend right, but sometimes it's fun to go in a softer more feminine direction.  Inspired by the farm house chic of Joanna Gaines we love to put this twist on our wardrobe.  Chambray dresses, soft touches of lace, and  broken-in shooties are perfect for this look, and layer nicely with our druzy pieces that add a touch of subtle glam.

Whether you are going for your last hike, last beach trip, or last backyard barbeque we hope these trend tips help inspire your end of summer looks.
