Giving a Hand to the Hands that Made Our Collection

Bali is a magical place. It is as warm and inviting as the gentle people who live there. And the women of Bali are especially dear to us because many of them work in the artisan communities that make the beautiful jewelry in our collection.

Yes, we feel very connected to Balinese women, so we’ve pledged to bring help and happiness to their lives. That’s why we’ve partnered with an organization called Bali Life. Now, every time you purchase something from Collections by Joya a portion of the sale goes back to the women who made it. 

Bali Life provides a safe place for disadvantaged Balinese women and their children. Donations help them learn to speak English, to sew, to work on computers and to get their first job. But more importantly, Bali Life gives them purpose, dignity and hope.

We love the idea that the delicate string of beads in our Tibetan Necklace connects the American woman who buys and wears it with the Balinese woman who learns to speak English because of it. We like to give a hand to the actual hands that crafted our Luisa Bracelet. We like to say Collections by Joya is a company created by women for women, and Bali Life is one of the ways to do that.
